10th Annual Congaree Bluegrass Festival
The 10th Annual Congaree Bluegrass Festival will feature top-quality bluegrass bands including the Sugarloaf Mountain Boys who performed at our very first festival ten years ago. There will also be a free children’s area with bouncy houses and hay rides around the historic track. There will be the always popular festival food, Cloggers, a car cruise in and much more making it suitable for families of all ages. This two day event will give you the best in bluegrass music and Sunday is the Gospel Bluegrass Gathering, which will be an afternoon filled with great food and Gospel music. Sundays Gospel show will begin at 1:00pm gates open at 12pm and is free to all.

10th Annual Israel Brooks Memorial Golf Tournament
The 10th Annual Israel Brooks Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, October 9th (COLUMBUS DAY) at The Country Club of Newberry (CCN), 414 Country Club Road in Newberry, SC. There will be a Silent Auction and Gala on Saturday, October 7th at 5:30 pm at the Medallion Conference Center. Colonel Chris Williamson of the SC Highway Patrol will be the guest speaker. The Newberry Native believed in "educational excellence" and thus, the Brooks Foundation was created and since 2016, has awarded 18 students a cumalative total of $49K in scholarships. 1st Annual Midnight Masquerade
Midnight Masquerade At the Marriott Hotel in downtown Columbia, SC Join 500 other guests for a night of intrigue and fun. This will be the go-to event for the Halloween season! Attendees should come dressed to impress, and don’t forget the mask. DJ extraordinaire Shelly with Expressions Entertainment will be in the house. As a part of the night’s events, there will be a silent auction to kick off your holiday shopping. Midnight Masquerade will not be complete without a wide variety of hors d’oeuvres and a full-service bar. Be on the lookout for the signature drink of the night. No event is complete without a photo booth to capture the fun with photographer, Kelly Payne. Share your red carpet photos and be ready to rock the night with great food, drinks and entertainment. 2017 Lexington Craft Beerfest
Bring your taste buds to the Icehouse Amphitheater on October 14 to sample regional craft beers and grab a bite from local restaurants at the 2017 Lexington Craft Beerfest, hosted by the Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center.   Approaching its second year, the Lexington Craft Beerfest will feature live entertainment by Fantasy - a band that brings together the beach, Motown and smoothed-out R&B sounds that will keep everyone's feet moving!   Tickets are $20 and include all samples of craft beer available, one commemorative glass and non-alcoholic beverages. 2017 Walk For Life and the Famously Hot Pink Half Marathon + 5K/10K Races
Walk For Life and the Famously Hot Pink Half Marathon + 5K/10K Races will occur on Saturday, October 14, 2017 in Columbia, SC. Beginning directly outside the Columbia Fireflies state-of-the-art minor league baseball stadium and winding through the historic streets of the capital city and along the great Congaree River, this course is one of the most beautiful and scenic available to run in the Southeast. The half marathon begins promptly at 7:15 a.m. and is followed by both a 10K race and a 5K race as well as a 5K walk. Runners may register at Proceeds benefit Palmetto Health Breast Center.

22nd Annual SC Oyster Festival
The 22nd Annual SC Oyster Festival Columbia, SC's largest outdoor oyster roast featuring steamed oysters for sell by the bucket brought to you by PEARLZ Oyster Bar located on the streets surrounding the historic grounds of the Robert Mills House and Hampton-Preston Mansion in Columbia. If oysters are not your thing, choose from several other food vendors and ice cold beer for sale. Also, don't miss our wine garden and reduced rates on museum home tours.
