Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union is a non-profit financial cooperative owned and directed by our members. We offer valuable solutions and exceptional service as our commitment to helping you achieve your financial goals.

As a credit union, Palmetto Citizens exists solely to serve the needs of our members, not to make a profit. Unlike other financial institutions, credit unions do not issue stock or pay earnings to outside stockholders. Instead, earnings are returned to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates and lower fees.

Every account holder is both a member and an owner at a credit union. Each member has equal ownership and one vote – regardless of how much money a member has on deposit. The credit union is governed by a volunteer board of directors, elected by and from the membership.
