Carolina British Classics VII

British Car Club Midlands Centre is pleased to announce that the 2013 Carolina British Classics-VII event will be held April 6 at the Columbia Speedway in Cayce, S.C. British cars of all marques from all over the USA are invited to share the wonderful weather and historic setting.

Again this year we will be merging our show with the popular Tartan Day South. Visit www.tartandaysouth.com for a complete calendar of events and list of scheduled performances at this four day festival. Entry fee to the festival is complementary for drivers of cars registered in the show and half price ($5.00 estimated based on last year’s festival) for passengers of exhibited cars.

We have lots of room for all who want to attend. The speedway is an historic “vintage” track from the early days of NASCAR racing. There will be lots of interesting and entertaining diversions throughout the day and a variety of merchandise and food vendors. A separate parking area is available for trailers.

As always, this is a charity event, with a portion of proceeds this year going to the Wounded Warrior Project and Hidden Wounds. A 50/50 raffle and silent auction will again be available to test you luck.

The featured marque this year is the MGB. This 50 year Anniversary Celebration will honor the popular vehicle with a display of all years of the open and GT models produced during its production.

We are also expecting a large showing of Sunbeams as the Sunbeam Alpine Owners Club of America has scheduled their Invasion XIII this same weekend in Columbia. Of course, we hope all the clubs in GA, NC, TN, FL and SC will be well represented and we greatly appreciate all the individuals and clubs who participate!

Directions: To get to the Columbia Speedway from I-26, take Exit 116 - Charleston Highway/Hwy 176/321 - go North approximately 1.9 miles and then turn right into the speedway parking lot. Signs will direct you to the entrance for car show participants.
